Hundreds of people gathered outside a sexual health clinic in Glasgow to counter protest anti-abortion campaigners.<br /><br />A small group from the Scottish Family Party initially gathered outside Argyle Street’s Sandyford clinic, where leader Richard Lucas said he wanted to brick up its entrance using cardboard boxes. <br /><br />A larger opposing group developed with police keeping the two apart.<br /><br />Next up, Mortons Rolls has issued redundancy notices to a number of staff, saying they should regard their service as terminated.<br /><br />The Drumchapel bakery recently closed down after 58 years in business, and it is currently unknown how many workers are affected.<br /><br />And in other news, the organisers behind Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival and TRNSMT have condemned government proposals to ban alcohol advertising, saying it would damage the industry’s success.<br /><br />All three SNP leadership candidates signalled a rethink on proposals, which was aimed at tackling the high levels of alcoholism in Scotland.
