Jeremy Hunt announced that parents of all children under five years old will receive 30 hours of free childcare as part of the Budget on Wednesday, 15 March.<br /><br />The plans extend current childcare provisions given to three and four-year-olds. For children of this age, parents qualify for 30 hours of free childcare if they both earn the equivalent of at least 16 hours a week at the national living wage.<br /><br />Under the chancellor’s new announcement, one and two-year-olds will be included in the provisions.
