More than 200 people have died in Malawi and Mozambique as record-breaking Cyclone Freddy triggers floods and landslides.<br /><br />The storm has devastated southern Africa, making a rare second landfall over the region with the death toll expected to rise further.<br /><br />Malawi president Lazarus Chakwera declared a "state of disaster" in the southern region of the country.<br /><br />The UN secretary general's spokesperson said aid operations were being hindered by downed power and communication lines.<br /><br />Freddy is expected to exit back to the sea late on Wednesday, 15 March.
