Chaos erupted outside the home of Pakistan's former president, Imran Khan, on Tuesday (14 March) after police attempted to arrest him for not attending court on corruption charges.<br /><br />Officers clashed with Mr Khan's supporters, using water cannons and tear gas on the protesters who threw stones and bricks.<br /><br />On Wednesday, a court ordered police to suspend the operation to arrest the embattled opposition leader.<br /><br />Mr Khan has claimed that authorities tried to arrest him to prevent his party from taking part in upcoming elections, but minister Marriyum Aurangzeb maintains that it is connected to a corruption case.
