Pedro Goncalves scored a wonder goal from the halfway line as he brilliantly lobbed Aaron Ramsdale in the Europa League on Thursday night.<br /><br />Sporting FC was level just after the hour mark and in remarkable circumstances as the Portuguese attacking midfielder spotted the England goalkeeper off his line.<br /><br />Neither side could find a winner in normal time at the Emirates Stadium as the game went into extra time.<br /><br />The 24-year-old joined Sporting in the summer of 2020 after a season at top-flight side Famalicao.<br /><br />Goncalves had a two-year stint at Wolves from 2017 to 2019, joining Nuno Espirito Santo's side when they were in the Championship. <br /><br />And fans were quick to react with one saying: 'I'm not blaming anyone in the team for that goal. <br /><br />'Pedro Goncalves is not sane, he is not normal. He is insane. Insane. Wow.' <br /><br />Another commented: 'Pedro Goncalves showing David Bentley how to do it. Speechless.'<br /><br />Elsewhere, a Twitter user shared a picture of one fan's awestruck face and said: 'This guy's face says it all. What a goal!!!' <br /><br />A final person joked: 'Pedro Gonçalves wasn't good enough for wolves uno.'<br /><br />Sporting was reduced to 10 men in the closing stages of extra time as Manuel Ugarte was shown a second yellow card for clattering into Bukayo Saka.
