Tottenham forward Richarlison left the pitch in tears after suffering an injury inside the opening five minutes in their Premier League match at Southampton on Saturday.<br /><br />The Brazilian headed straight down the tunnel after sustaining an injury and was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski.<br /><br />Richarlison, 25, was making just his ninth Premier League start for Spurs following his £60million switch from Everton last summer.<br /><br />He is yet to score a league goal for the North Londoners and recently admitted that this season has been "s***" after his side was dumped out of the Champions League by AC Milan.<br /><br />The forward also hit out at his lack of minutes, as well as Antonio Conte's communication.<br /><br />Spurs' under-fire boss responded by starting Richarlison against Nottingham Forest last week.<br /><br />His No9 performed well against Steve Cooper's side, making an assist, winning a penalty, and having a goal of his own disallowed for a very narrow offside in the 3-1 win.<br /><br />He was again selected to start Saturday afternoon's clash with Saints, only to sustain an injury early.<br /><br />Stand-in skipper Harry Kane tried to console Richarlison as he went off, while Son Heung-min put a supportive arm around his team-mate.<br /><br />The forward eventually returned to the stands and was seen sitting with his teammates on the bench around 20 minutes after going off.<br /><br />Richarlison has endured an injury-hit campaign at Tottenham.<br /><br />He suffered a calf injury that ruled him out of four Prem games in October.<br /><br />And he then picked up a hamstring injury at the World Cup that he didn't return from until mid-January.<br /><br />Richarlison's only two goals to date for Tottenham both came in their 2-0 Champions League win over Marseille in September.<br /><br />On that day he cried tears of joy with his father after achieving a childhood dream of scoring in the competition.<br /><br />Tottenham suffered another injury blow in 36 minutes when Ivan Perisic had to replace the stricken Ben Davies.
