CCTV footage appears to show the moment a fire, that killed 38 people, broke out at a Mexican immigration centre on Monday, 27 March.<br /><br />In the footage, the fire appears to break out in the top left-hand side of the frame before quickly filling the room with smoke.<br /><br />Mexico’s interior secretary, Adan Augusto Lopez, confirmed the authenticity of the video to local media.<br /><br />Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador claimed the migrants started the fire in protest of being deported, but “never imagined that this would cause this terrible misfortune.”
