Grant Shapps says the government’s new green plan won’t be “forcing anyone to remove their gas boiler.”<br /><br />The energy secretary spoke with Nick Ferrari on LBC about the new plan drawn up in a bid to reach net zero.<br /><br />Ferrari relayed a question from a caller about heat pumps to Shapps, asking if there would be a deadline in place for them or fines for not installing one.<br /><br />“There’s no end date at all, and you’re not going to be fined a penny,” he said in response.
