Easter Sunday falls on April 9 this year, and many are eagerly anticipating the 4-day bank holiday weekend.<br /><br />Although the date fluctuates each year, there are always plenty of easter-themed activities, with egg-hunts, bonnet-making and other crafts becoming festive traditions for children and adults to get involved with.<br /><br />Here's a run-down of what events are going on over the next few weeks:<br /><br />Manchester City Council is packing a number of parks in the city-region with plenty of exciting activities. Heaton Park is bringing back its big Easter Egg hunt over Easter weekend on April 8 and 9. <br /><br />Fog Lane Park in Manchester will be running The Great Bunny hunt from the 1st to the 16th of April.<br /><br />Cringle Park in Levenshulme will be holding its Easter Treasure Hunt on Good Friday April 7, where there will be music, food, ice creams and a tabletop sale organised in partnership with Grounded MCR.<br /><br />For the slightly older adventurers - although people of all ages are welcome to join - Escape Hunt has launched their new City Hunt adventure in time for Easter.<br /><br />The 90 minute Alice in Wonderland-themed quest will start at Escape Hunt at the corn exchange at selected times between the 28th of March and the 30th of April.<br /><br />20 stories will host a sky-high easter children's egg-decorating masterclass between 11am and 12pm on Tuesday April 11.<br /><br />Children will become chefs for the morning, be taught chocolate piping techniques, and let loose with their own eggs to decorate. <br /><br />For the over-18s, Revolution Bars is bringing free shots to those who bring their own egg-cups to one of their bars.<br /><br />If you find an old egg-cup at the back of your cupboard, take it down to get a free revolution flavour shot of your choice.<br /><br />The bar franchise is also hiding 30 branded egg cups around its 48 sites across the UK for its widespread Easter egg-cup hunt, and if you happen to find one you can claim a free grey-goose-inspired cocktail.<br /><br />There are plenty more events around Manchester for those excited to get involved in easter-themed activities, so make sure to keep up-to-date with our what's on guides to find out more.
