Thousand of runners from the North West and beyond will be counting down the days until marathon race day along the streets of Manchester. <br /><br />The Adidas Manchester Marathon takes place on Sunday April 16 and this year there will be 28,000 participants running through areas of the city centre and Greater Manchester. <br /><br />The 26.2 mile race across the city-region has been the second largest marathon in the UK for some time and is the fourth largest in Europe.
