A couple share their bed with five dogs and say it works for them because they are not “big cuddlers”.<br /><br />Tracy Fosterling, 31, lets her dogs Bear, Mahi, Pup, Lily and foster canine Penny sleep in her bed between her and her fiancé, Tyler, 31, every night.<br /><br />The dog loving couple let the pooches sleep between them in their king-size bed and are "not bothered" by the hair or being woken up in the night.<br /><br />Tracy and Tyler, a construction manager, don't let the hounds into their bedroom until they’ve been cleaned.<br /> <br />Tracy is a self-confessed “clean freak” so fluffs and washes the bed sheets every two to three days and spends $600 a month on her dogs' food, bills and treats.<br /><br />Tracy, a marketing manager, from Jacksonville, Florida, US, said: “The dogs always sleep in the bed with us since we’ve got them.<br /><br />“That’s just where they like sleeping.<br /><br />“As we add more, they all want to get on the bed.<br /><br />“The little one sleeps between our head and the others sleep in the middle.<br /><br />“Sometimes I wish I had more room, but it doesn’t really bother me.<br /><br />“They all want to be near my fiancé.<br /><br />“Neither of us are big cuddlers so it works for us.”<br /><br />Tracy and Tyler have had Bear, a black Labrador, and Pup, a Dutch Chihuahua, for seven years.<br /><br />They started fostering dogs in 2019 after Tracy volunteered at a shelter and found out a dog would be put down because there was no space to keep them.<br /><br />Since the pair have fostered over 20 dogs and adopted great Pyrenees’ Mahi in April 2020 and Lily in June 2022. <br /><br />Tracy said: “I have been adding more dogs to the family.<br /><br />“I love dogs. We love dogs.<br /><br />“He goes along with it when I bring a dog home.”<br /><br />The couple have been fostering Penny, a great Pyrenees, for six-months – and say she is just at home on their bed.<br /><br />Tracy said: “They give us our space when we need it.<br /><br />“I don’t mind it.”<br /><br />Tracy says people would be “surprised” at how clean her home is.<br /><br />She said: “I’m a clean freak.<br /><br />“I wash the sheets every two to three days.<br /><br />“Hair doesn’t really bother us.<br /><br />“We clean them before they come in the bedroom and don’t allow them in during the day.”<br /><br />Tracy says Penny, Lily and Mahi are all "big babies" and cuddlers and all their dogs give them “unconditional love”.<br /><br />She said: “We cuddle up to the dogs more than each other.”<br /><br />Tracy says the dogs all get along and she spends her disposable income on them.<br /><br />She said: “I just spoil them.<br /><br />“If I spot an enrichment toy, I get it.”<br /><br />She spends and average of $600 dollars a month on food, vet bills and toys.<br /><br />Tracy doesn’t have plans to expand her dog family but “would never say never”.<br /><br />Tracy said: “We don’t have kids yet.<br /><br />“We take care of our dogs like they are our kids.”<br /><br />Tyler said: "We're both dog lovers, so it works out.<br /><br />"I don't mind the dogs on the bed with us or taking over the couch, we love spending our time with them.<br /><br />"Usually, when Tracy brings home a foster dog, I just say 'OK.'<br /><br />"It doesn't bother me at all, and the dogs are a huge part of our life."
