Shocking footage shows the moment a Grand National racegoer was left injured after being hit by two stampeding horses which veered off course.<br /><br />The horses charged towards the woman on the first corner at Aintree Racecourse after their jockeys fell from the saddle further up the course on Saturday (15/4).<br /><br />Unable to stop their speed, Recite A Prayer and Galvin came off the track and ploughed into the woman causing her to slam to the ground.<br /><br />Onlookers can be heard shouting warnings before the two horses trip on the concrete and painfully crash into the woman. <br /><br />Bystander Mugdim Mujakovic, 52, had been filming the race and caught the dramatic moment on camera.<br /><br />The chauffeur stopped his camera and went over to check on the woman before police took over and administered first aid.<br /><br />Mugdim said he heard an ambulance being called and sirens approaching when he left the scene 10 minutes later.<br /><br />Mugdim, from Bath, Somerset, said: “In the distance I saw two jockeys fall.<br /><br />“I saw the two horses coming towards me. They smashed into the woman.<br /><br />"It was quite shocking and I was quite shaken myself and stopped filming and went to help.<br /><br />“The policeman came over and gave her first aid. She was in pain. She couldn’t stand on her foot.<br /><br />“I heard them radio for an ambulance. I left the scene 10 minutes later and heard the sirens coming. It was unreal.<br /><br />“I’d be surprised if her leg wasn’t broken. Hopefully it’s not.”<br /><br />Mugdim said he didn’t see what happened to the horses afterwards as everyone was focused on coming to the woman's aid.<br /><br />He said: “I felt sorry for the woman. And the horses looked so scared."<br /><br />The Jockey Club said Recite a Prayer was injured during the race in a statement confirming the death of Hill Sixteen.<br /><br />A statement from The Jockey Club said: "Sadly, while racing in the Grand National, Hill Sixteen sustained an unrecoverable injury. Our sincere sympathies are with connections.<br /><br />"Recite A Prayer and Cape Gentleman were assessed on course by our skilled veterinary staff and walked onto the horse ambulance for further assessment in the stables."<br /><br />The race was also disrupted and delayed by 15 minutes after animal rights protesters gained access to the track leading to 118 arrests. <br /><br />North West Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to Aintree Racecourse at 5.34pm following reports of a woman being hit by a horse.<br /><br />A service spokesperson said:  "We can confirm a female patient was hit and crushed against a concrete bollard by a stray horse. <br /><br />"She was dealt with by a team on the scene and taken to Aintree University Hospital by an ambulance already stationed at the racecourse with lower leg injuries."
