It was first recorded in 1969 by its composer Gershon Kingsley for the album "Music to Moog By"<br /><br />2. Gershon Kingsley was born in Bochum, Westfalia, Germany on October 28, 1922<br /><br />3. In 1972 it was re-recorded by "Hot Butter" and became a worldwide hit<br /><br />4. In France it is the 131st best-selling single of all time, with over 900,000 sales<br /><br />5. The title refers to the short staccato sound used<br /><br />6.
