Marlow & Young (Leonard Rutherford & John Foster) perform "Six Months Ain't Long" on Champion 15750.<br /><br />1929 <br /><br />Originally released on Gennett 6807.<br /><br />"Marlow and Young" is a pseudonym on Champion for Leonard Rutherford and John Foster.<br /><br />Champion was a budget label manufactured by Gennett, the premier label of the Starr Piano Company, maker of pianos, phonographs, and records. <br /><br />Champion records were originally manufactured and sold by Kresge stores but became more widely available through other retailers. <br /><br />The Champion label was active from 1925 to 1934. <br /><br />The Champion trademark was sold to Decca Records, which continued to issue releases on Champion from 1935 to 1936<br /><br />Sound file was done by Frank Dalton.
