In its latest earnings report, Sony Interactive Entertainment has set out an ambitious goal of selling 25 million units of its popular PlayStation 5 in the current fiscal year.<br /><br />If achieved, this target would break all previous sales records for any PlayStation console in a single financial year.<br /><br />"We aim to continuously accelerate the penetration of PS5 and aim for PS5 sell-in units for the current fiscal year to be 25 million units, the highest ever for any [PlayStation] console in history," the Japanese company said.
