People across the region will be heading to the polls this Thursday May 4 to cast their vote in local elections.<br /><br />The Greater Manchester council elections are held three years in every four, usually in May, and councillors from each of the ten Boroughs will be battling it out for votes.<br /><br />For the first time ever, voters will need a valid form of ID to obtain a ballot paper. This could be a passport, driving license, or a free Voter Authority Certificate.<br /><br />We spoke to local people ahead of Thursday's elections.<br />
