Glasgow headlines 2 May: Man suffers injuries after attack

A 30-year-old man has endured serious injuries after being attacked by a group of men in the city.<br /><br />Police Scotland received a report stating three or four men were involved, all described as being white, in their 30s and dressed in all black. <br /><br />Enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being treated in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. <br /><br />Next up, a record 14,000 people braved the rainy weather to participate in Glasgow’s Kiltwalk, raising money for almost 900 charities. <br /><br />Three different routes took walkers across the city, Clydebank and Loch Lomond.<br /><br />It was led by Sir Tom Hunter who said the day was ‘phenomenal’.<br /><br />And in other news, Glasgow City Council are urging people to plan ahead for the enforcement of the Low Emission Zone. <br /><br />The new policy will exclude the most polluting vehicles from the city centre to protect public health from air pollution, which comes into force on 1 June.
