Hillman Imp event marks 60th anniversary of production.<br /><br />Enthusiasts gather for the 60th anniversary of the production of the first Hillman Imp car.<br /><br />The special event saw an assembly of vintage cars produced by Linwood's old car factory on display.<br /><br />Now home to the St James Business Centre, the site opened in 1963 as a Rootes plant and was later taken over by Chrysler before being sold to Peugeot Talbot.<br /><br />The Rootes plant was famous for producing the Hillman Imp - a revolutionary small car which went into production when the factory opened.<br />
