The Galvanizers Yard at the SWG3 is set to be transformed into a vibrant canvas of colour and creativity for the return of Yardworks Festival. <br /><br />The weekend-long event opens on Friday 5 May, and will feature murals being created in real time, an open air art gallery, street food, and workshops.<br /><br />Next up, The Road to the Great Escape is returning to venues across Glasgow, showcasing a range of musicians from Scotland and further afield. <br /><br />On 6 May, emerging artists such as Katie Gregson-Macleod, Humour, Calum Bowie and Nell Mescal will be playing inside the Garage, King Tut’s, G2 and The Garage Attic. <br /><br />Next, the biggest exhibition of its kind showcasing fashion designer Mary Quant’s work will be launching at Kelvingrove on 20 May. <br /><br />And finally, the first Vicar Street Social event is set to take off at McChuills on 13 May, marking the start of Brogeal’s monthly residency at the venue. <br /><br />The multi-band event was started by the folk group in Falkirk but is now making the permanent move to Glasgow.
