THIAGO SILVA was one of a few Chelsea players to be praised by fans following their defeat to Arsenal.<br /><br />The Blues season went from bad to worse as they were beaten 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.<br /><br />The Gunners raced into a three-goal lead thanks to a brace from Martin Odegaard and a single-goal strike from Gabriel Jesus.<br /><br />However, it could have been even worse for Frank Lampard's team if it were not for Silva.<br /><br />The Brazilian defender was able to pull off a brilliant goal-line clearance to deny Gabriel Magalhães from making it four.<br /><br />The Arsenal star headed goalwards but the ball was stopped on the line as Silva calmly used his knee to control it and then hoof it away.<br /><br />The moment saw commentator and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher hail Silva as one "of the best defenders in the world".<br /><br />While Chelsea fans admitted that he was too good for the club on social media.<br /><br />One supporter tweeted: "Thiago Silva, we don’t deserve you man! Another goal-line clearance."<br /><br />A second wrote: "Thiago to touch that ball on his lap before making an on the line Clearance… pure class and composure.. make we do celebrate small victories.. coulda easily been four."<br /><br />A third commented: "Legendary Clearance….Thiago Silva ."<br /><br />A fourth said: "That classy goal line clearance from Thiago Silva though. Wheew ."<br /><br />While a fifth added: "That Thiago Silva's goal-line clearance is one of the reasons why if I see any Chelsea fan-preferred line up and Silva is not there, I just call it trash and keep moving."<br /><br />In an eventful game for Silva, he was also involved in a row with Ben Chilwell after going 2-0 down.
