A stray bullet landed metres away from a group of kids playing a youth baseball game.<br /><br />Surveillance video, released by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, shows the moment the bullet hit the dirt in between the young players. <br /><br />The incident happened at the Mission Sports Park in San Marcos, California, USA. <br /><br />Local deputies responded to reports of persons unknown discharging a firearm near the sports park, but confirmed no one had been shot or hurt.<br /><br />Police are seeking the public’s help and asking anyone with information or additional video of the incident to come forward.<br /><br />San Diego County Sheriff's Department said: "Detectives from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station and San Diego County Crime Stoppers want your help in finding out who was responsible for a shooting near a sports park.<br /><br />"It happened on Monday, May 8 just before 8:00 p.m, near Mission Sports Park, located in the 900 block of Bailey Court, in San Marcos. <br /><br />"Deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station responded to the scene after getting reports of someone discharging a firearm near the park. <br /><br />"Deputies searched the area, but didn't find anyone who had been shot or was hurt.<br /><br />"Surveillance video from one of the baseball fields at the park captured audio of what sounded like gunfire, as well as some kind of projectile hitting the field."
