Labour MP Jonathan Ashworth appeared confused when asked if he suffers from “white guilt”.<br /><br />The shadow work and pensions secretary was speaking on TalkTV when Julia Hartley-Brewer asked: “Do you suffer from white guilt?”<br /><br />“Do I suffer from what?” Mr Ashworth replied before he was quizzed on his response to Suella Braverman’s suggestion that Britons shouldn’t be “ashamed” of “historic slavery”.<br /><br />“I love this country, I’m not ashamed of this country... we should teach all aspects of the history of this country,” he added.
