This is the dramatic moment bird of prey attacked a drone in mid-air before dropping it into a forest.<br /><br />Footage shows a kestrel in Zhangjiajie, China, grabbing the unmanned aerial vehicle with its talons before flying away with the device.<br /><br />The bird later drops the drone, discarding it into the greenery below, as it films itself falling to the ground.<br /><br />China has listed the common kestrel as a second-class protected species.<br /><br />The global population of kestrels is estimated at 1-2 million pairs.
