On International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, a Greater Manchester borough began its annual Pride celebrations with a ceremonial flag raise.<br /><br />Trafford Council and leaders of Pride in the borough gathered at Sale Town Hall on Wednesday May 17 and held an opening ceremony for the four-day arts festival celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.<br /><br />The event included a choir performance from local primary school children, and speeches from leaders in the borough.<br /><br />Trafford Pride will be running from Wednesday 17 - Saturday 20 May and brings together an exciting range of performances for Mancunians to get involved with.<br /><br />There will be cabaret, comedy, theatre and artwork running throughout the festival, to celebrate queer artists and LGBTQ+ identity.
