Five people were injured following an escalator malfunction at Argyle Street Station during the morning rush hour on 17 May.<br /><br />These people were said to have suffered minor injuries and four of them were taken to hospital for treatment. <br /><br />An investigation is now underway by the British Transport Police, whilst a Scotrail spokesperson said they were sorry to those affected. <br /><br />Next, two teenage girls climbed to the top of the Finnieston Crane without safety gear.<br /><br />The police were called by passersby who noticed the pair at the top of the 175 foot landmark which overlooks the River Clyde. <br /><br />Officers said they were given suitable guidance then taken home. <br /><br />And finally, road users visiting a Glasgow retail park took to social media to express their fury after waiting in ‘gridlock’ traffic for three hours whilst trying to drive home. <br /><br />Resurfacing works in the area surrounding Darnley Retail Park have led to road closures and temporary traffic lights and these are expected to last for several more days.<br />
