11-foot alligator rescued on Texas residential road after being spotted by locals

An alligator believed to be at least 11-foot and 1,200lbs was rescued on a residential road after being spotted by locals.<br /><br />The gator was seen by a concerned resident walking down a road in Missouri City, Texas, USA.<br /><br />Police were soon notified and dispatched a specialist alligator wrangler, who is seen in the video rounding up the huge reptile.<br /><br />Timothy DeRamus was tasked with bringing the gator to safety and peace to the neighbourhood of Quail Valley Thunderbird.<br /><br />He is seen approaching the alligator and managing to cover its head with a bag.<br /><br />The huge animal was too heavy for DeRasmus to carry on his own so he called in for assistance.<br /><br />Eventually, a colleague arrived with a pickup truck and a hook that was able to lift the weight of the huge reptile that was estimated to be 11-foot-long and 1,200lbs.<br /><br />Shocking footage shows the distressed animal jerking as it's tied up and attached to the pickup truck's hook.<br /><br />The gator nuisance crew finally managed to get the animal on the truck bed and take it away.<br /><br />The footage was captured on May 21.
