A wedding photographer saved the big day after a bride lost her ring - by looking back through her photos to pinpoint the moment it went missing.

Courtney Feinberg, 31, was enjoying her party on May 5 when she touched her finger after jumping in a swimming pool - and realised her ring had disappeared.

Panicking, she and new husband Michael Feinberg, 33, spoke to photographer Laura Palacios, 32, who came up with an idea.

She scrolled back through the snaps she had captured throughout the day and estimated Courtney's ring has fallen off on the dancefloor - and not in the water.

Staff at the venue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, then scoured the area and found the three-carat ring - saving the day.

Courtney, a hair stylist, said: "The diamond was gone.

"My heart sank and I got really nervous. I didn't even know how much the ring was worth - Michael refuses to tell anyone.

"I said I wanted drama at my wedding but I meant people making out - not this."

Michael, a cybersecurity worker, said: "Especially on our wedding day, we didn't have time to process what was happening."

"I knew that it was in the venue, so I was trying not to panic, but still."

The couple from Coconut Creek, Florida, quickly gathered the wedding party and got them to help them find the diamond.

Photographer Laura also realised the couple were having issues and quickly came to the rescue.

She said: "Every wedding I go to I pledge to keep the clients best interests at heart, not to take the photos I want to.

"I quickly realised that it wasn't in the couple's best interest to keep taking photos and that I had lots of evidence on me."

The couple and Laura scoured the pictures and realised that the diamond had not fallen out in the pool but on the dancefloor about an hour previously.

This led to more panic from Courtney and Michael, as the dancefloor was made of wooden slats, and the stone may have fallen in between them.

Thankfully, one of the venue employees found the ring and quickly ran to find the couple and save the day.

Courtney said: "One of the servers, a guy called Disco, found it and came to find us like, is this what you're looking for?

"He found it in between the wooden slats of the dancefloor, the diamond was big enough that it got stuck in between.

"Everyone screamed and I told him I was going to kiss him on the lips, so I did."

The couple quickly got in touch with the jewellers that sold them the ring, who stated that the diamond fell out due to a manufacturing error.

The jeweller replaced the ring's band free of charge, and even comped the couple's wedding bands.
