A man was left stunned after capturing the rare moment a dust devil touched down and span through the city of Frederick in Maryland, USA. <br /><br />Josh VerStandig was walking through downtown Frederick on May 24 when he spotted the dust devil. <br /><br />He was able to capture incredible footage of the freak weather phenomenon, which is caused when hot air rises rapidly through cooler air and usually occurs in arid deserts.<br /><br />Josh uploaded the video to his Twitter account and captioned it: "Casually saw a tornado in downtown Frederick today. Weird."
