This is the moment four Asian elephants enjoyed their first swim of the summer at a UK safari park - followed by a dust bath.

Females Yu-Zin, Chandrika, Damini and Tarli wallowed in Drakeloe Lake at Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire earlier this month.

As part of their enrichment, the female elephants at the park have the opportunity to roam around 500 acres of private woodland in the Woburn estate.

Drakeloe Lake is part of their stomping ground, and the group use it as their own private swimming pool during warmer months.

In the footage, the females venture into the lake and use their long, powerful trunks as snorkels to dive into the water.

Later, they can be seen distributing dust and dirt over their bodies on a nearby bank as a natural way of keeping their skin healthy.
