Residents with dementia hold hands and dance to golden oldies at a Singapore care home under a 'silent disco' initiative to help those with the disorder.<br /><br />In a silent disco format, they listen to tunes via their headphones.<br /><br />"Studies have generally shown that musical programmes do have positive outcomes on persons with dementia in terms of their overall well-being, cognition and emotion," Grace Wong, Associate Psychologist at Apex Harmony Lodge says.
