Actors' guild, TV, movie producers' alliance in talks to avert strike

Actors represented by the Hollywood union SAG-AFTRA vote Monday evening, June 5, 2023, to authorize a strike if they don’t agree on a new contract with major studios, streamers and production companies by June 30. The strike authorization was approved by nearly 98 percent of the 65,000 members who cast votes. The guild, which represents over 160,000 screen actors, broadcast journalists, announcers, hosts and stunt performers, begins its negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 (Thursday in Manila) over a month after the Writers Guild of America began striking over its own dispute with AMPTP.

PHOTOS BY AP

Subscribe to The Manila Times Channel - https://tmt.ph/YTSubscribe

Visit our website at https://www.manilatimes.net

Follow us:
Facebook - https://tmt.ph/facebook
Instagram - https://tmt.ph/instagram
Twitter - https://tmt.ph/twitter
DailyMotion - https://tmt.ph/dailymotion

Subscribe to our Digital Edition - https://tmt.ph/digital

Check out our Podcasts:
Spotify - https://tmt.ph/spotify
Apple Podcasts - https://tmt.ph/applepodcasts
Amazon Music - https://tmt.ph/amazonmusic
Deezer: https://tmt.ph/deezer
Stitcher: https://tmt.ph/stitcher
Tune In: https://tmt.ph/tunein

#TheManilaTimes
#Hollywood
#UnitedStates
