British adrenaline junkie 'Shard Climber' has been arrested after free-climbing a 555m skyscraper in South Korea.<br /><br />George King was detained while attempting to climb the Lotte Tower in Seoul.<br /><br />King made headlines around the world after he previously scaled London's iconic skyscraper The Shard.<br /><br />Before his ascent he told reporters that he wanted to "evade Korean authorities and get on a flight out of the country, immediately after performing the stunt".<br /><br />After making it three-quarters of the way to the 73rd floor, he was apprehended by Korean authorities.<br /><br />The stunt took one year to plan and it started when he was locked up in HMP Pentonville after being arrested for climbing the Shard.<br /><br />Now in custody in Korea, he is awaiting trial in two days.<br /><br />In a statement before the stunt, King said: "This is the most exhilarating stunt I've ever done. <br /><br />"The climb is fraught with danger, and if I pull it off, I have to get out of the country asap to avoid arrest. <br /><br />"The weather has been on and off for a couple of days but I'm ready."<br /><br />The footage was captured on June 12.
