An RNLI crew member has recalled how the “screams” of a rescued migrant have stayed with him.<br /><br />Stuart Adams, a member of the Dungeness crew, spoke in footage shared by the organisation of a mass casualty exercise held in Dorset in April.<br /><br />The RNLI said on Wednesday 14 June that their lifeboat crews saved the lives of 108 people crossing the English Channel last year.<br /><br />“We went to a dingy in the early hours of the morning, it was torrential rain and thunderstorms,” Mr Adams said of his memorable rescue, before telling a story of a young migrant who had lost her son in the panic.<br /><br />“The scream and panic from the woman just stayed with me for days.”
