Satellite navigation systems do a good job of determining the geographical coordinates of objects on the earth's surface.<br />however, in buildings, underwater or underground, where satellite signals do not penetrate, GPS does not work.<br />Japan has developed and tested an alternative technology that uses cosmic rays to accurately track movement indoors.<br />A unique system for underwater and underground navigation was developed in Japan.<br />
