Police are hunting a hit-and-run BMW driver after five people were seriously injured in a horror crash today (Thurs).<br />Five people, including an 80-year-old couple, were rushed to hospital after a BMW and an Audi collided on Tile Cross Road in Birmingham at 3am.<br />West Midlands Police are now appealing for any witnesses after the serious incident, urging drivers with dashcams to come forward.<br />The driver of the black BMW fled the scene, leaving behind an injured passenger in their car who was later rushed to hospital.<br />Four people in the Audi, including the elderly couple, were rushed to hospital along with a woman from the BMW.<br />A stretch of Tile Cross Road near Crosskey Close was closed as detectives launched an investigation.<br />Detective Sergeant Julie Lyman, of West Midlands Police, said: "We're continuing to work at the scene to establish what happened and are supporting relatives of those injured at this difficult time.<br />"We're working hard to identify the driver of the BMW and would urge them to hand themselves in immediately.<br />"We really need to hear from anyone with dashcam or other footage showing what happened."
