School summer holidays begin in less than a month and many families will be gearing up to plan activities and travel during the six-week break.<br /><br />There will be holidays booked abroad and in the UK, as families with children use this time away from school to enjoy the warm summer months.<br /><br />Of course events will be ongoing in Manchester throughout the six weeks to keep children entertained and provide much-needed respite for parents and caregivers.<br /><br />For many young people the Summer holidays are an adventure and an exciting break from school life offering countless opportunities for fun.<br /><br />We spoke to local people to find out their fondest memories of school summer holidays and what they would love to do now if they had the chance to take a six-week break.
