Here's our 'PROMO TRAILER' for Marvel Studios' series SECRET INVASION (2023) EPISODE 4 (More Info About This Video Down Below!)<br /><br />The inspiration behind this video:<br /><br />The Nick Fury Skrull fan theory would explain the inconsistencies regarding the MCU origin of Nick Fury's eyepatch. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Nick Fury suggested that he lost an eye because someone he trusted betrayed him, while Captain Marvel revealed that a young and naive Nick Fury lost his eye while playing with Goose the Flerken. If the real Nick Fury died after Bucky Barnes shot him halfway through Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it's possible that the Skrull that replaced him believed the origin of his eyepatch to be deeper and more sinister than it actually was.<br /><br />It's also possible that the Skrull impersonating Nick Fury since 2014 got tired of Earthly matters and abandoned the planet in order to take a break in outer space. Knowing that Talos is Nick Fury's trustworthy Skrull friend, he could have asked him to take his place temporarily, which means that Spider-Man: Far From Home's Nick Fury would have been a copy of a copy of the original character. Why this Skrull didn't revert to his original appearance would still be a mystery, however.
