In late 2022, the NSW goverment absolved 33,000 fines totalling $30 million, after the Supreme Court deemed the fines invalid.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the Victorian government is facing pressure to wipe out around 50,000 its fines after it was found that ethnic minorities were unfairly targeted by police.
