Manchester Aquatics Centre officially reopens to the public with ceremonial ribbon cutting by Manchester leaders and Paralympic swimmer

The Manchester Aquatics Centre has officially reopened following a multi-million pound refurbishment.<br /><br />On July 13, Manchester City Councillors and British Paralympic swimmer Grace Harvey celebrated the reopening of Manchester's iconic aquatic sports facility with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.<br /><br />The centre closed in November 2021 to undertake significant renovation to all swimming pools, the fitness suites including gyms and studios, cafe, health suite and changing rooms.<br /><br />The work was split into phases to allow public swimming to continue throughout the renovation process, but the centre officially reopened this week.<br /><br />The refurbishment introduced new digital and sustainable technologies helping to make the centre more energy efficient and added a multitude of features to make swimming accessible for all in Manchester.<br /><br />We went down to celebrate the opening and take a sneak peek inside the new facilities.
