An elderly woman has died following a flat fire in the Shawlands area. <br /><br />An 83-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.<br /><br />Next, a Wetherspoons pub in the city is set to close for almost two months while it undergoes a multi-million pound refurbishment. <br /><br />The Sir John Moore pub on Argyle Street will close on 17 July until 3 October. <br /><br />40 new jobs are to be created, with the company developing two surrounding shops for a larger customer area, as well as upgrading the bar. <br /><br />And in other news, a new guided mural trail has launched in Glasgow, combining music with visual arts. <br /><br />The Govan mural trail will be run by Glasgow Barons and Invisible Cities, highlighting local art and history in the Southside. <br /><br />A spokesperson said they are aiming to put Govan on the map.
