This is the moment security at the University of Exeter dragged a Just Stop Oil protester away from campus - after the group interrupted a graduation ceremony.

Paul Davis, 25, was watching his sister pose for a graduation photo outside the auditorium, when he saw an ‘older lady’ rushing past campus security, splashing orange paint on the ground.

She was dragged off by security - and other protesters were questioned by the police.

Paul, an IT auditor originally from Edinburgh, said: “After the second graduation ceremony of the day at 1:15pm, all of the graduates walked outside the auditorium to get a group photo taken.

“Once all the grads had left the building and were waiting for their photo, an older lady rushed through the cordoned off area and past the campus security.

“A popping noise was then heard and orange paint went all over the ground. Then, she took a Just Stop Oil bib out of her bag,

“At that point, security ran to her, stopped her from putting the bib on, and dragged her away.

“After the photo was taken, a police officer walked over to a lady who was close to the protestor at the time, and she seemed to be startled with the officer asking her questions.

“Later in the day - at about 2:30pm - the people who were filming protestors were escorted off the campus by security, and I saw the older lady protestor in the back of a police car.”
