Cincinnati Reds grounds crew member is CONSUMED by the rain tarp after slipping and falling as the covering was dragged across the infield<br /><br />The Cincinnati Reds averted a fourth-straight defeat on Monday when umpires suspended play due to rain, but the club's grounds crew still took an 'L' nonetheless.<br /><br />With rain pouring down in the eighth inning, a member of the Great American Ballpark crew slipped and fell while unfurling the tarp with the Reds and visiting Giants knotted at two apiece.<br /><br />Unfortunately for him, the rest of the crew was largely unaware and continued to pull the tarp towards the third-base line, completely enveloping their coworker.<br /><br /> A rescue effort quickly commenced and the abandoned crew member was reunited with his colleagues.<br /><br />Umpires suspended play on Monday in Cincinnati after a nearly two-hour rain delay.
