Satellite footage shows Tropical Storm Calvin swirling on its approach to Hawaii on Tuesday, 18 July.<br /><br />A state of emergency was declared for more than one million people in the US state.<br /><br />On Wednesday, the National Weather Service (NWS) downgraded it to a post-tropical cyclone.<br /><br />Up to 10 inches of rain are predicted to fall on Thursday, the weather service said.<br /><br />Though the post-tropical cyclone passed by Hawaii with no injuries or significant damage, governor Josh Green warned that the state’s hurricane season is only just underway.<br /><br />“Stay tuned, because we have several months left,” Mr Green said.
