Typhoon devastates northern Philippines; thousands displaced<br /><br />Typhoon Doksuri (Philippine name: Egay) causes extensive damage in the northern Philippines, with homes losing tin roofs, villages being flooded, and power outages affecting the region. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as more than 12,000 people were evacuated from high-risk areas on Fuga island, and precautionary measures were taken in other provinces.
