A shocking video shows a landslide destroying two homes, a shed and a car in the Philippines after wind and rain battered the country during Super Typhoon Doksuri.

Gerry Agyao Bestoca, 39, was surveying the area around Benguet Province for danger related to the typhoon when he witnessed the devastation.

Locals rushed to assist with repairs and clear stones and mud from the homes, which belonged to Gerry's relatives and neighbours.

The townspeople are still awaiting for government assistance to clear their homes and repair damage.

The province was hit particularly hard by the typhoon, and landslides like this occurred all over the area, as the excessive rain softened the ground.

Government official Gerry said: "No one knows when a landslide will happen. The owners of this houses are my neighbours and relatives.

"After the landslide, me and my constituents first observed the situation to ensure that there was no more danger.

"Then, me and other neighbors and volunteers helped each other, in cleaning the stones and mud that entered the house while waiting for help from the government.

"There have also been landslides in other villages and towns in our province, they don't happen often, just these past days that the typhoon has been super strong.

"It was the first time that I was so afraid. I don't know how to better explain my feelings at the time of that incident."

The super typhoon has now made landfall in Northern China, and thousands have been evacuated from their homes as floods and rain lash Beijing.

Video was shot on the 26th of July.
