A man who abducted and water boarded a woman before stabbing her in the Parkhead area has been sentenced to three years in jail. <br /><br />30-year-old Christopher Hanratty attacked the victim in her property during September last year. <br /><br />He pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 31 July. <br /><br />Next, the CEO of AG Barr, the company behind Irn Bru, is stepping down from his position after more than 20 years. <br /><br />Rodger White will be leaving his role within the next 12 months and will retire from the organisation. <br /><br />He was the first chief executive to come from outside the Barr family. <br /><br />And in other news, a molecular radiotherapy suite which opened at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow has been hailed a game changer for treating younger cancer patients. <br /><br />This comes as NHS figures reveal the service has treated more children in 12 months than was predicted in five years.
