Hikers in Arizona had to be airlifted to safety after suffering from heat-related illness while walking along the Siphon Draw Trail in a heatwave.<br /><br />Rescuers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety descend via helicopter to reach the stranded hikers.<br /><br />Both patients were hoisted off the trail and turned over to Superstition Fire and Medical for heat exhaustion.<br /><br />This rescue was one of two heat-related incidents on 23 July, when a heatwave was sweeping the state.<br /><br />The second rescue took place involving three dirt bikers who broke down and were suffering from heat exhaustion on a trail north of Crown King.<br /><br />Everyone caught out in the heat was rescued and given medical treatment.
