A man left passengers "gobsmacked" after he boarded a cross-country flight with his huge - Great Dane.<br /><br />The owner had to pay for three seats - including his - so he could get the massive pooch to fit properly on the flight.<br /><br />Owner Gabriel Bogner, 27, was travelling from Los Angeles, California, USA to New York City with his beloved dog Darwin, five.<br /><br />Footage shows Darwin boarding the flight, taking a look in the cockpit and even saying hello to people in the row in front.<br /><br />Gabriel, a start-up founder, was moving from LAX to New York's La Guardia and said this was Darwin's first time flying.<br /><br />Gabriel said: "People were absolutely gob-smacked and shocked but everyone was so excited to see her. <br /><br />"I’ve never seen so many smiling at an airport <br /><br />"This was rare, [it was] her first time flying.<br /><br />"There were no issues, she was great and the entire crew was amazing. <br /><br />"They did joke that she got an upgrade and I didn’t but it was a very smooth trip."<br /><br />The footage was captured on April 28.
