A plane has crash landed on a busy dual carriageway.<br /><br />The light aircraft has been pictured on the grassy central reservation between lanes near Gloucestershire Airport.<br /><br />Photos show the yellow plane on the A40 Golden Valley Bypass between Gloucester and Cheltenham.<br /> <br />Traffic is queued in both directions and police are on scene. <br /><br />Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports: "A40 in both directions closed due to police incident from A417 (Elmbridge Court Roundabout) to M5 J11 (Gloucester / Golden Valley Bypass). Traffic is coping well.<br /><br />"Affecting traffic between Cheltenham and Gloucester."<br /><br />@HighwaysSWEST tweeted: ''The #A40 in both directions between the #A417 and #M5 J11 near #Chelthenham #Gloucester is closed due to an aviation incident.<br /><br />There are delays of 10 minutes and approx. 1 mile of congestion on approach.''<br /><br />One person tweeted: ''How brave was that pilot?
