Tropical storm disrupts travel in Japan<br /><br />A strong tropical storm hit central and western Japan, causing flooding, power outages, and travel disruptions during a Buddhist holiday week. The storm, weakened from Typhoon Lan, made landfall in Wakayama and moved northwest, impacting rivers, buildings, and transportation.
